NFL Draft Round 1 Losers

Losers

1. Jacksonville Jaguars - D

For a team that is at the bottom of the league in selling tickets and with a small market, you would think that drafting an impact player at the #10 overall pick would be a priority. That wasn't the case when they reached for defensive tackle Tyson Alualu who possibly could have ended up in the 2nd round. I'm guessing they panicked after finding no good trade partner to move down and possibly gain picks. Earl Thomas, Jason Pierre-Paul, and Derrick Morgan all would have been better picks.

2. Denver Broncos - B-

Demaryius Thomas is a big, tall receiver and obviously was picked instead of Dez Bryant because of character issues Bryant may have and Josh McDaniels doesn't want another potential Brandon Marshall on his team. Then they move up to #25 to pick Tim Tebow. Another high character guy, but it's the question of how will he be used really to make him worth that pick.

3. New Orleans Saints - B-

CB Patrick Robinson is fast, but with a need a OLB, I thought Sergio Kindle out of Texas would have been a much better pick.

NFL Draft Round 1 Winners

Winners
1. Seattle Seahawks - A+
To get Russell Okung who many believe is the best offensive tackle in the draft at #6 is a great pick up and then to get Earl Thomas at #14 who is young and dynamic is also an excellent pick up.
2. Tennessee Titans - A
Tennessee didn't even have to move up to get defensive end Derrick Morgan at #16 overall to replace Kyle Vanden Bosch who went to the Lions in free angency. Morgan should be a solid player for them.
3. Detroit Lions - A
Detroit got the best player in the draft in defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh at #2 overall and also traded up back into the first round to the #30 spot to take running back Jahvid Best who may be just as good as C.J. Spiller who went at #9 to the Bills. Concussions are somewhat of a concern though after Jahvid's leap into the endzone against Oregon State.
